Costume Idea: Daria Morgendorffer*

Halloween always creeps up on me every year. I always promise myself that I'll start getting everything ready in July so I can have an awesome, accurate, and super detailed costume, but it never happens. One of my all time favorite (and easy) last minute Halloween costumes would have to be one of the greatest cartoon characters of all time: Daria Morgendorffer.

I came up with a few different options for the outfit, along with the two staple accessories. Check them out!

Tops: Henley Pocket Tee from Roamans or a Boyfriend T-shirt from Asos

Jackets: Desert Darling Hooded Utility Jacket from Forever 21+ or Four Pocket Utility Parka from Asos

Skirts: Light Up My Life Skirt from ModCloth or Essential Elegance Skirt from ModCloth

Seven Eyelet Black Boots from Dr Martens

Black Round Rim Eyeglasses from Firmoo

So, what is everyone being for Halloween this year? Any big plans? Let me know in the comments!

  1. I'm going to be Rosie the Riveter during the day and I'll make my 'transformation' into the Bride of Frankenstein at night! I considered going as Daria, but I felt like nobody would know it was a costume because I dress pretty closely to how she does, lol!

    1. That's awesome! I love Rosie the Riveter! Did you see the Bride of Frankenstein makeup by Rick Baker? If not, you should definitely check it out. :)

  2. Many, many years ago, my friends and I went as the cast of Daria! It was a lot of fun.

    1. I bet! Three years ago, I was trying to get a Daria costume together, but I couldn't find a top that I was happy with. I did buy an awesome green blazer from GoodWill that I still have in hopes of being Daria sometime in the future!

    2. I got my blazer and shirt from Goodwill, too. It's the best place to find costume pieces. :)
