First Impression: It Cosmetics "Your Most Beautiful You" Kit

Last month, one of QVC's Today's Special Values was It Cosmetics Your Most Beautiful You 6pc. Anti- Aging Collection. I had heard about It Cosmetics a little bit ago and wanted to try out some of their products, but upon further inspection I found that It Cosmetics is moderately expensive. I was so glad that this 6 piece kit was offered at $59.96 - that's $10 per item!

What is included in the Your Most Beautiful You kit?
Hello Light Anti-Aging Radiance Creme Illuminator ($24.00)
Vitality Lip Blush Hydrating Lip Gloss Stain in Je Ne Sais Quoi ($24.00)
YBBB Your Brows But Better ($24.00)
Bye Bye Under Eye in Neutral Medium ($24.00 for 0.28 fl oz.)
Luxe Pointed Airbrush Complexion Brush ($38.00)
Dual Heavenly Luxe Airbrush Foundation & Concealer Brush ($48.00)

If bought separately, it comes to $182.00 and the Bye Bye Under Eye in the kit is 1 fl. oz., more than three times the amount offered by It Cosmetics. Not a bad deal, huh?

The Hello Light is cream illuminator. It has a pink tone with silver highlight. I like that it softens up with the heat from my finger and doesn't seem to settle into any lines in my skin when applied.

Je Ne Sais Quoi is a light pink gloss stain. The stain it leaves is a warm pink color and I was very impressed with the stain's staying power. The gloss isn't overly sticky either, which is always a plus.

YBBB Your Brows But Better is a brow pencil. There are no color options because the harder you press down while applying, the darker the color will be. This can be a bit challenging the first few times it's used, but will get easier. I really like that YBBB also comes with a spooley brush on one end.

Bye Bye Under Eye is a full coverage concealer that can also be used as an all over foundation. I found it difficult to dispense from the tube and the consistency of it is very thick. I don't think I would use it as a foundation since I have oily skin and don't like wearing anything too think, but as a concealer for under eye circles, I think it works really well.

The two brushes are (top) the Luxe Pointed Airbrush Complexion Brush and (bottom) the Dual Heavenly Luxe Airbrush Foundation & Concealer Brush. Both brushes are dense and really soft!

I can't wait to use all of these in practice. I have high hopes!

Have you used It Cosmetics before? What do you think of their products?

Wishlist Vol. 4: Black Milk Clothing

I had a very much needed "Girls' Night In" after work yesterday, so I didn't have any time to put together a blog post. Sorry! I know I'm a day behind, but this wishlist is totally worth the wait!

Yip Yip Yip Leggings
When I saw that BMC was launching a Yip Yip Yip swimsuit, I knew that I needed the print as leggings... And here they are! Omgerz.
Artoo Swimsuit
This came out a long while ago, and I was in looooove! I'm also pretty sure that my husband would approve of this design, ya know, being a huge Star Wars nerd and all.

Jellyfish Pink Leggings
Jellyfish always made me happy as a kid. I don't know why, though. Now they remind me of my hubby. For Valentines Day, he got me a jellyfish tank with rubber jellyfish that lit up different colors and he also got me a SUPER CUTE jellyfish plushie from the aquarium in Sasebo.

Mermaid Leggings
Okay, seriously. I want to be a mermaid. Don't judge me.

Evil Cheerleader Lace Dress
This dress is just really pretty. I love lace overlays and fit and flares, so together it's definitely a go for me!

Junkfood Yellow Leggings
I also have this weird thing where I want all of the clothing with food prints on them. Ice cream, cheeseburgers, cookies, candy - GIVE ME ALL THE JUNK FOOD CLOTHES.

Watermelon Skater Skirt
Oh, and fruit prints too. :3

Muscles Leggings
Last but not least is the Muscles Leggings. I found these years ago while searching for something on google (I think it had something to do with a cuff bracelet that looked like meat, don't ask) and that's how I came across Black Milk Clothing. I just think that this idea was really well executed and I want a pair for my legging collection!

Black Milk Clothing has a whole slew of different legging prints, swimsuits, bodysuits, skirts, tops, dresses, catsuits, and suspenders. I love pretty much everything that they make, but since it's a pretty high price point, I've never been able to buy from them. My one other dilemma with BMC is that they do not cater to plus size people. Some of their clothing is made in an XL (that I think I could sqeeeeeeze into), but I haven't seen anything larger than that.

Do you have anything from Black Milk Clothing?
What are your favorites?

Ipsy Glam Bag is a monthly subscription service created by Michelle Phan. For $10 (!!) a month, you will receive a makeup bag, as well as a mix of 5 deluxe samples and full size beauty products. When you join, you take a "beauty quiz" about the types of product you like, your skin tone, type of skin/hair, and so on, so ipsy can send you personalized products.

First off, the package comes in this amazing metallic pink envelope!

These were the products that I received in my Ipsy Glam Bag for May!

First is a Mirabella (full size) lipstick in the shade Posy. It's a nice cool reddish shade (seen below) that is a bit sheer. It's not a drying lipstick and has pretty good staying power. There is a slight vanilla scent as well, but it's definitely not overpowering and you don't really notice it once it's on your lips.
Next is a nice sized (full size) Pacifica perfume in Tahitian Gardenia in a roller ball container. I normally don't wear much perfume; growing up, I was always a Bath & Body Works body spray gal. I had one or two that I really liked as a teenager, but haven't used any since. The scent Tahitian Gardenia is really nice when it's in the container, though I found it to be a little intense when I wore it. The site describes it as "reminiscent of Jasmine, Sweet Orange, and Tea Leaves." It's nice, but it's not for me.
I was so excited when I saw the Anastasia Beverly Hills (deluxe sample size) clear brow gel. I had high hopes for it and it definitely did not disappoint. It's a nice thin brow gel that helps to keep my brows in place and sets my brow powder so it can last all day.
I also got a Yaby concealer refill pan (full size) in buff. I really like how the color works with my skin tone and the product was very nice. Since I work out in the sun, I've been getting tanner than normal, so my usual concealers are a bit too light for me now. My one problem with this is that I don't have a palette to put it in right now, so I have to store it in the plastic container it came in.
Lastly, I received a Zoya nail lacquer (full size) in Gie Gie. It's a beautiful baby pink with some silver shimmer. I haven't tried it yet (I know, shame on me!) and I've actually never had a Zoya polish. I recently haven't been putting anything on my nails because of how rough my job is on my nails, but I promise I will wear this soon. It's a great color!

All in all, I love my Ipsy Glam Bag from May and would for sure recommend this subscription service. On top of it feeling like getting a present every month, it's a great deal for $10.

Mirabella Lipstick: $22.00
Pacifica Roller Ball Perfume: $12.00
Anastasia Clear Brow Gel (Travel Size estimate): $14.00
Yaby Concealer Refill: $4.85
Zoya Nail Lacquer: $8.00
Total: $60.85

This is my referral link, if you wanna use it! Either way, ipsy Glam Bag is a hit.

Wishlist: Lush (07JUL13-14JUL13)

Rub Rub Rub Shower Scrub
Rub Rub Rub is a bit of a variation on the normal shower gel. For one, it’s so thick we put it into a tub for handy scooping in the shower. Secondly, it’s a bright blue, supremely softening, exfoliating sea salt shower scrub to revive your skin. Sea salt is extra cleansing, mineral-rich and softening for the hair and body; you can even use it as a shampoo. Our rubby scrub is startlingly refreshing, with a dash of lemon juice and the tropical scent of mimosa blossoms for a light, blossom-scented wash and smoother skin.

Ocean Salt Cleanser
Washing with Ocean Salt is like taking your face on a trip to the seaside for an invigorating splash in the water. The minerals in sea salt soften as it scrubs away dirt, dead skin and blockages for a bright, fresh face. We mix in fresh avocado and coconut to hydrate thirsty skin, leaving it balanced and soft. The antibacterial effects of lime and vodka are ideal for blocked pores, blackheads or blemishes and leave skin visibly brightened. It's no wonder Ocean Salt is so enormously popular!

It's Raining Men Shower Gel
Check out the weather report, it looks like rain today! Get absolutely soaking wet and lather up armed with one of the finest shower gels you can buy. Our honey hand and body soap became such a huge customer favorite that we just had to create a soothing honey shower gel with the same scent. It smells like toffee-fudge, with refreshing sweet orange and bergamot oils to give it a little extra sweetness. In case of stormy weather ahead we made It's Raining Men with lotus flowers to soothe your ravaged bodies and oodles of moisturizing, cleansing honey.

Happy Hippy Shower Gel
Our grapefruit shower gel is one of our happiest shower gels: a magic potion to make the even the office seem inviting on Monday mornings. A perfect way to start the day, Happy Hippy remains one of our best-sellers because it smells absolutely delicious: bursting with fresh, juicy organic pink grapefruits to cleanse away grime, refresh your skin and make you feel brighter all over. Plus, it’s full of zippy grapefruit and bergamot oils to work on tired minds.

No Drought Dry Shampoo
Our dry shampoo absorbs excess oils and volumizes locks, making the hair look and smell fresh without having to wash. When you don't have time or want to give you hair a break from too much washing, massage a little into your scalp and through your hair, then shake or brush out. It blends in completely, even on dark hair, to give texture and a soft, matte finish. Lemon, grapefruit and lime oils will give your hair a fruity fragrance, so you'll smell fresh too!

Fair Trade Honey Shampoo
Over half of this shampoo consists of Fair Trade honey, which is beautifully moisturizing and gives hair shine and luster. All that honey has allowed us to make this one preservative-free, too! While 50% is honey, 20% is linseed mucilage, which has a lovely texture and is moisturizing and conditioning. Fair Trade Honey is suitable for almost everyone, but with all these moisturizing ingredients, it is specifically lovely on hair in need of moisture.

Herbalism Cleanser
Herbalism is best suited to those who have tried everything under the sun to clear up their oily and blemish prone skin. Here's our fresh facial cleanser to convert you into a believer of the power of herbs! The antibacterial blend of rosemary, nettle and chamomile help clear up problematic skin. Ground rice bran acts as an effective exfoliant, while kaolin clay deep cleanses pores. Use this cleanser in combination with Grease Lightning for clear, balanced skin.

Grease Lightning Cleanser
We’re often too upset over blemishes to stop and consider what they are; a clogged pore that has become inflamed because of built-up bacteria. Let’s take a deep breath together. There you go. Now apply Grease Lightning, our super effective, spot-zapping face gel. The antibacterial combination of thyme, tea tree and rosemary infusion dries invisibly as it goes to work shrinking your mini volcanoes. Our herbal infusion conditions the skin, while grape juice cleanses and keeps spots free of dirt. See? Not so scary after all.

Ro's Argan Body Conditioner
LUSH product inventor Rowena made this decadent, rose-scented shower ‘lotion'. She noticed how much she liked the sultry soft feeling hair conditioner gives her hair, so she thought how nice it would be if she could have the same feeling for the body too. With scoops of cocoa butter, cupuacu butter, almond oil and Argan oils, and the fragrant scent of fresh rose petals, this is the most luxurious body softener that ever was (if we don't say so ourselves!). After washing up, slather yourself all over with this new invention. Rinse, pat dry and revel in supremely soft, rose-scented skin.

I've been on a skin care kick lately, and read this post by Meagan Kerr and now I'm craving some Lush. I've used a few of their lotions and massage bars and I fell in love! The quality of the products are fantastic and knowing that they are handmade is an extra plus. Lush has been fighting animal testing as well, and I will always support a company who does that. They also offer vegan alternatives for all the vegans out there.

Have you tried any of these products?
Do you have a Lush favorite?
