Today was not a great day for me makeup-wise. This look took me much longer than it should of. That's the cost of taking two months off, I guess. For some reason after I messed up real good the third time, I decided to just go with it and this is what happened. I debated whether or not to post this because it's not my best work, but I really love the how well the oranges and copper go together. Maybe I'll do a "remixed" version in the future and use all of the same products to do a different look. I don't know, maybe Cleopatra would have liked this. Haha.

I don't think I've ever (in my life) done an orange eye look. The Venus shade from BH's Galaxy Chic palette was just too gorgeous to ignore! Plus, I know a ton of you really liked it!

I think I'm going to start doing more of these (while still posting FOTDs as well) so let me know what you think! It's a little more convenient right now since my husband is still on nights. My desk/vanity is currently in our room and I'm too blind to apply makeup in front of the bathroom mirror. I feel bad cos the lights normally wake him up and I make a ridiculous amount of noise when I put on makeup; shuffling products around, opening and closing drawers, and I am also super good at dropping everything. These eye of the day looks take significantly less time to do, so I won't bother Ryan for too long while I'm applying my makeup. That and apparently I have a skin tag (we think?) located right under one of my eyes. I don't know where it came from and hope it goes away soon because it is less than cute.

Also, I'm sorry that my eye isn't in focus! I took at least 20 pictures and in all of the pictures with my eyes open, the camera decided to say "Oh yeah? Well, I'mma take a picture of your eyebrow now!" instead of focusing on my pupil like I wanted it to. Oh well. At least I learned that if I have time, I should look at my pictures before taking off my makeup so I can retake them if need be. Hooray for learning!
