From the website: OCC Lip Tar combines the longevity of a lipstick, with the ease of application of a gloss. Goes on slick and moist, and dries down to a satin finish. Ultra-saturated in color, Lip Tar contains an unprecedented amount of pigment – a little goes a very, very long way! An intense yet featherweight layer of color that never looks or feels heavy. Meant to be mixed, Lip Tar comes in concise array of colors for a limitless selection of shades made by you! A simple, elegant formula that contains Hemp Oil, Peppermint Oil and Vitamin E, OCC Lip Tar feels as good on the lips as it looks!
Please excuse my less-than-perfect swatches; this is my first time! These colors come in a set called the Pro’s Picks Lip Tar Set v1.0 and they can be bought here for $49.00. Lip Tars are also sold individually (with a lip brush) at Sephora or OCC for $18.00 in a few different finishes. I don’t find them to be too drying, but I wouldn’t say that they are hydrating. I would suggest wearing them over a lip balm or lip primer.
All swatches are one coat of lip tar on top of Blistex Medicated Lip Balm.
Can I just say how much I love these?! The pigmentation is out of this freakin’ world and when everyone says a little bit goes a long way, they are not lying. I put a small sized dot (seen in a picture above) on the back of my hand and apply the lip tar with the OCC lip brush and that usually will be enough for a full application.
If I had to pick, I’m pretty sure Melange is my favorite out of this bunch, which is really bizarre because normally I tend to go for pinks/purples/reds.
Oh, and also, these are vegan and cruelty free!
Which one is your favorite?
Have you used Lip Tars before? Do you like them?
xox
I have this same set and I looooove it!! Melange is also my favorite :)
ReplyDeleteIsn't it great?! I want to pick up the other two Pro Pick sets too!
